We are happy to attempt in hand and certify mail if the in-hand service fails. Some agencies are accepting in hand and some are not.  We cannot guarantee that the government provided links or corporate sites are current and they may accept in-hand service at any time without notice.

Current procedure for serving legal documents upon the US Coast Guard is as follows: Legal documents can be served upon the United States Coast Guard by certified mailing the legal documents to:

2707 Martin Luther King Jr., Ave., SE, Washington, DC 20528-0485

Serving an individual at a government facility

If it is a personal matter involving an employee of the US Coast Guard, they must be personally served. Serving a subject personally at this location can be extremely difficult if the subject to be served is unwilling to receive. Security will stop us from entering and must know the reason for service. This, sadly, will notify the subject of our attempt to locate them and may cause them to hide or evade service altogether.

We do provide Advanced Skip Tracing for difficult to locate Subjects in Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia & Nationwide.
